Rowdysvision, a 19-1 longshot in a field of seven sophomores, sprinted to a neck victory in Saturday's $37,399 Adequan® Evergreen Park Derby Challenge at Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Prepped by Misael Moreno for owner Isaak Fehr, Rowdysvision went 400 yards in :20.535. Alfredo Amador rode the homebred son of the Mr Jess Perry stallion TF Rowdy Lil Perry.

Rowdysvision was bred in Mexico. He is out of Vision My Corona, an unraced 12-year-old daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Sea Horse Corona. He traces back to his fourth dam, Tempestuous Judy, a Go Dick Go mare who won the 1985 Acadiana Spring Futurity at Evangeline Downs.

Raced in two provinces in Canada, including Ontario, Rowdysvision has won two of six starts and has banked $27,842. His victory on Saturday earned him a berth in the October 23 Adequan® Derby Challenge Championship (G3) at The Downs at Albuquerque.

Cerveza Corona, the 9-10 favorite, finished second and was followed by Eyesa Timber, Flight Club, Bright Foo Fighter, Bright Ooh La La, and BDB Mach Man.
