Making his first start in a stakes, Sam Brookover's SEB Ember won Friday's 870-yard, 25,000 Covered Bridges Stakes (G3) at Prairie Meadows.

SEB Ember rallied to defeat Going To Hollywood by a half of a length in :46.243. Stormy Smith rode the bay 4-year-old Walk Thru Fire mare for trainer Charlton Hunt.

SEB Ember was bred in Texas by Clarence Scharbauer III. Raced in three states, including Texas and Oklahoma, the mare has won five of 17 races -- including three of five at the current Prairie Meadows meet -- and the $14,500 winner's share of the purse from her first stakes victory increased her bankroll to $58,010, of which $39,623 has been pocketed from nine races at the 870 trip.

SEB Ember was sent to post at odds of 4-1 and returned a $10 win mutuel.

One Sweet Step, Holy Storm, Apollos Dashn Cowboy, Cowgirlsrunningrebel, and Faster Than Hasta completed the order of finish.
