Sent to post as the even-money choice in a field of five fillies and mares, Lynnder 16 sped to a wire-to-wire victory in Tuesday's $34,315 ARC Canterbury Distaff Challenge.

Lynnder 16 covered 400 yards in :19.753 while defeating Fosse by a neck. Berkley Packer rode the 4-year-old sorrel daughter of world champion Apollitical Jess for owners Tom Maher and Richard L. Tobin, and trainer Jason Olmstead.

Lynnder 16 earned $17,158 from her third career stakes win, a 102 speed index, and a berth in this year's Grade 1, $100,000 ARC Distaff Challenge Championship at Albuquerque Downs. The mare was bred in Oklahoma by Jim and Marilyn Helzer, and she was making her first-ever start at Canterbury Park.

Raced in five states, including Oklahoma and New Mexico, Lynnder 16 has won nine of 20 starts, including the 2018 Remington Park Futurity (RG2). The mare was also a finalist in Apocalyptical Jess' 2018 All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.

Apollitical Mogul finished third, three-quarters of a length behind Lynnder 16. DRT Dynasty and Rock Solid Babe AW completed the order of finish.
