Sent to post as the 11-10 favorite in a field of nine sprinters, Larry J. Boudreaux's Mpshinning scored a 1 1/2-length victory in Thursday's 48,900 Miss Polly Classic Stakes (G2) at Delta Downs.

Mpshinning went 400 yards in :19.467 while earning a 99 speed index. Everardo Rodriguez rode the 4-year-old Mr Piloto stallion for trainer Adrian Huitron.

Mpshinning was stretching out in distance off of his neck victory in the 350-yard, $30,000 King William Stakes at Retama Park on the Fourth of July. The stallion was bred in Louisiana by Jon and Donna McPherson, and he was purchased by Boudreaux for $27,000 at the 2017 Louisiana QHBA Yearling Sale.

Raced in three states, including Texas and Oklahoma, Mpshinning has banked $746,045 from 18 starts, and his nine wins include the 2018 Gillespie County Fair and Louisiana QHBA Million (RG1) futurities.

Barjaxs finished second and was followed by American Hussle, DLJ Imma B Famous, Achievopiloto, Follow My Wagon, The Grand Legend, Girlsingtheblues, and Ms Diamond Prize.
