One Sweet Boss, a homebred 5-year-old One Sweet Jess gelding campaigned by Flying K Ranch LLC, won Saturday's 400-yard, $50,000 Miss Polly Classic Stakes (G2) at Delta Downs.

Racing on a sloppy and sealed track and sent to post as the 2-1 favorite in the field of seven, One Sweet Boss defeated Into The Grey by a head in :19.957. Gilbert Ortiz rode the sorrel gelding for trainer Phillip Calais Jr.

One Sweet Boss earned a 90 speed index and the $30,000 winner's share of the purse from his first career stakes score. The gelding was bred in Louisiana, and he is out of Starlight Bess, a winning daughter of the Takin On The Cash stallion Rakin In The Cash.

Campaigned exclusively in Louisiana, One Sweet Boss has won five of 18 starts -- including three of six at Delta Downs -- and he has banked $99,963.
