Nine Things to Look Forward to During YES

AQHYA is excited to host youth from around the world at the 2022 Youth Excellence Seminar; check out these highlights and reminders before traveling to Amarillo.

The American Quarter Horse Association is excited to welcome attendees to the  2022 Youth Excellence Seminar July 12-14 in Amarillo. View the YES schedule.

An entertaining and action-packed three days are awaiting attendees in Amarillo. Check out these highlights to look forward to during YES:

  1. Start the seminar off with the Building Your Affiliate workshop, giving you the tools and resources to support your local affiliate – youth and adults are welcome to attend.

  2. Meet new, life-long friends at the kick-off reception welcome dinner on Tuesday evening at the Civic Center Grand Plaza, featuring special guest Miss Rodeo America 2022 Hailey Frederiksen.

  3. Learn and engage with guest speakers - including Fancy Lady Cowgirl, Courtenay DeHoff - industry professionals and alliance organizations through presentations, leadership activities and workshops!

  4. Build for the Future of AQHYA by watching the 2022-23 AQHYA officer and director candidates campaign and electing your new leadership team.

  5. Experience the inner workings of the AQHA International Headquarters and American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame & Museum. Each department is planning interactive, exciting games and activities during the tour.

  6. Pack your best 1980s-themed attire to dance the night away on Wednesday evening!  

  7. Make a difference through service projects directly affecting the Texas Panhandle, while giving you the skills to take these projects home and make an impact in your local community.

  8. Get dressed up Thursday night to recognize awards, such as the Wrangler Aspire award, and scholarships, as well as outgoing and incoming AQHYA leadership, at the awards dinner with your friends.

  9. And, most of all, look forward to a memorable experience and lots of fun!

This event will be the highlight of your year. What better way to spend time with your fellow AQHYA members and “Build For The Future”!
