The 2024 Nutrena AQHA World Championship Show and AQHA Select World Championship Show, presented by Adequan® (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan), make for an exciting event that you won’t want to miss. This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the show and we are excited to party like it’s 1974!
Join us November 1-20 at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City for a jam-packed schedule filled with receptions, parties and special events.
Special Events
Here are a variety of special events that will take place during the show:

November 1-20: Visit the Trade Show daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Trade Show will be open through the last day of the show, November 20.

Sunday, November 3: Don’t forget to set your clocks and watches back an hour for daylight saving time!

Wednesday, November 6: Join AQHA for Wrangler Day, a special event where the Association will recognize the 2025 AQHA Team Wrangler members during an afternoon finals. Time will be announced at the show.

Friday, November 8: It is Pink Day at the show! Be sure to wear pink to support the horsemen and -women who have fought cancer and take part in the Rein in Cancer Frisbee toss for the chance to take home a 100x Shorty’s Caboy Hattery custom hat. Frisbees will be sold on the fairgrounds during the show to benefit Rein in Cancer.

Saturday, November 9: NEW this year, AQHA is hosting the inaugural Ranch Horse Classic, brought to you by Platinum Performance. The $75,000 added event showcases the versatility of ranching American Quarter Horses through ranch riding, ranch trail and ranch cow work. The Top Ranching Heritage-Bred Horse in this class will also be recognized with a $7,500 bonus.

Sunday, November 10: AQHA World Championship Collegiate Judging Contest. The contest also features opportunities for AQHYA members to audit the contest at no charge.

Sunday, November 10: The World Show Townhall Meeting, open to all Nutrena AQHA World Show exhibitors is at 7 p.m. in the Gold Globe Lounge.

Monday, November 11: Wear red for Veteran’s Day to pay tribute to the men and women who have served our country.

Saturday, November 16: NEW to the Nutrena AQHA World Show, join the Behind-the-Scenes Tour at 2 p.m. beginning in the Gold Globe Lounge to get an inside look at how the show runs.

Saturday, November 16: Pleasure Versatility Challenge Reception, sponsored by AQHA and The Equine Chronicle, at 5 p.m. in the Gold Globe Lounge, followed by the Pleasure Versatility Challenge, sponsored by Super Sires, at 6 p.m. in the Jim Norick Arena.

Sunday, November 17: Tribute Night – AQHA will pay tribute to the American Quarter Horse Hall of Famers, past presidents and directors we’ve lost since the 2023 World Show.

Sunday, November 17: Bubbles, Baristas and Brunch, hosted by Evinceble, 9 a.m., Section 300 in the Jim Norick Coliseum

Monday, November 19: Sliders ‘N’ Sips NRHA Reception, 2 p.m., Gold Globe Lounge
The Gold Globe Lounge is located in the Super Barn and will be open with a cash bar daily.

Top Awards
During the show, AQHA will also crown the 2024 AQHA Superhorse, All-Around Amateur, Select All-Around Amateur, Gene Graves Super-Select Special Recognition Award recipient, Oklahoma City Leading Owner, Nutrena Senior Athletes of the Show and the top AQHA Ranching Heritage-Bred horses in the Level 3 open, amateur and Select divisions.
2023 Year-End High-Point Presentations
The top Level 3 open, amateur and Equestrians With Disabilities year-end high-point winners; AQHA All-Around Amateur; AQHA Select All-Around Amateur; AQHA All-Around Junior Horse; AQHA All-Around Senior Horse; AQHA Exhibitor of the Year; Justin Boots Level 2 Exhibitor of the Year in each amateur age division; Nutrena Don Burt AQHA Professional Horseman of the Year; Nutrena AQHA Professional Horsewoman of the Year; and Most Valuable Professional will be recognized throughout the show.
