QHRAI Derby Qualifiers

Ivory Six Pax and RK Lady Dana are the co-fastest qualifiers to the June 24, $126,800 Horseshoe Indianapolis QHRAI Derby.

Racing in the first of five trials on Saturday, Ivory Six Pax and RK Lady Dana reached the wire together while going 400 yards in :20.027 and recording a 90 speed index. Giovani Vazquez-Gomez rode Ivory Six Pax for owner and trainer Jessica A. Vazquez, while Francisco Quintero rode RK Lady Dana for owner Kathleen Stumpf and trainer Anthony Cunningham.

Ivory Six Pax was bred in Texas by Bobby D. Cox, and the Ivory James filly was an $18,000 purchase by David Campos at the 2021 Heritage Place Yearling Sale in Oklahoma City. Ivory Six Pax has won two of 10 races and has earned $22,825 while racing exclusively at Horseshoe Indianapolis.

RK Lady Dana was bred Illinois, and she is a homebred daughter of the Corona Cartel stallion Bogart. The filly has won five of eight outs, including last year's Governor's Stakes at Horseshoe Indianapolis, and she has banked $126,396.
