Cruzin Cartel is prompt favorite in Saturday's $406,110 feature at Retama Park.

Fastest qualifier Cruzin Cartel, a sorrel son of Teller Cartel owned and trained by Raul Galvan, sprinted to a half-length win in Saturday's $406,110 Texas QHA Sale Futurity (RG2) at Retama Park.

Cruzin Cartel covered 350 yards in :17.865 under jockey Bryan Candanosa. The gelding earned $180,720 from his second win in as many starts and first stakes score.

Cruzin Cartel was bred in Texas by Twin Spires Farm. His dam, Cruzin Apollo, is a winning daughter of the Falstaff (TB) stallion Apollo (TB). 

Cruzin Cartel made his debut with a wire-to-wire, one-length victory from his rail post in one of seven trials on July 10. The gelding has banked $185,520.

Greysland, the 5-2 favorite in the field of 10, ran second and was followed by Quick Chicks Dynasty, Patron TLC, Captain, Lovin The Drama, Ima Jet Stream, Tempting Knockout, Dash N Leader, and JLC Steal Your Cash.
