Committee Reports

Each spring, AQHA holds an annual convention. The 2021 AQHA Convention was hosted in an in-person business format to allow attendees to focus on business initiatives, including committee and council meetings; reviewing member-submitted rule-change proposals; interviewing, nominating and electing new AQHA directors; and electing the AQHA Executive Committee.

Modifications to AQHA Bylaws, as well as registration-related items, were reviewed by AQHA members and the AQHA Board of Directors at convention. Per the Association’s bylaws, the board of directors has the final authority when it comes to changes or additions to AQHA’s bylaws and rules of registration. The additional 11 standing committee reports will be reviewed by the AQHA Executive Committee for final approval before rule changes are implemented. All committee recommendations will be reviewed for feasibility based on a variety of criteria, including but not limited to available resources, budget constraints and necessary computer programming before the Executive Committee reviews in April.
