Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies
Equine Assisted Activities & Therapies
Being horseback changes you; it makes you braver, stronger and it gives you freedom. For people with emotional and physical needs, being horseback is life changing. Providing freedom and empowerment, the horse is widely recognized as a powerful tool in therapy.
Since 2002, the Foundation has been on a journey to help ensure special-needs individuals experience the freedom and life-changing benefits that come from being horse back. The equine assisted activities and therapies (EAAT) industry is growing rapidly as therapists and medical professionals are gaining awareness of the powerful benefits that come from riding and working with our horse. The American Quarter Horse Foundation is dedicated to facilitating opportunities for individuals in need and being responsive to the growing industry.
