Rogers Farms' Wascallywittlewabbit led at every call en route to a 2 3/4-length victory in Saturday's $104,500 Cox Ranch Distance Challenge Championship (G1) at Albuquerque Downs.

Prepped by Mike Joiner and ridden by Benito Baca, Wascallywittlewabbit went 870 yards in :44.505. The 6-year-old Heza Motor Scooter gelding earned a 97 speed index and $50,160 from his sixth career stakes win.

Wascallywittlewabbit was coming off of a second-place finish, 1 1/2 lengths behind winner and reigning distance champion Madewell, in the September 18, $56,000 Cox Ranch Albuquerque Distance Challenge (G3). The gelding was bred in New Mexico by Mike Weatherly.

Wascallywittlewabbit has won 11 of 22 starts and has banked $282,100. His 10 wins in 16 outs at the 870-yard distance include this year's Remington Distance Championship (G1) and Pauls Valley Stakes (G2), both at Remington Park.

Madewell, the 7-5 favorite in the field of eight, ran second and was followed by Viva Le Don, Ms Esther, Dance The Dust Off, Faster Than Hasta, and Nicos First Cartel.
