It's a rare scenario when you can get rewarded for doing something you actually love to do. Wouldn't it be great if you could be recognized just for time spent riding your horse? Well, with the AQHA Horseback Riding Program, you can!

The Horseback Riding Program helps riders track their hours spent in the saddle.

It is a rare opportunity to be able to earn rewards for doing something that you actually love. The Horseback Riding Program is a great way for recreational riders to be recognized for just that! The majority of AQHA members already spend a lot of time in the saddle, and this is a way AQHA can honor them for their dedication to riding!

  • Hours are earned taking riding lessons, trail riding, showing, training, exercising and/or doing ground work (does not include grooming, feeding or health maintenance).
  • People of all ages, skill levels and riding backgrounds can participate and are welcome.
  • The program has two divisions: the American Quarter Horse division and an All-Breeds division.
  • All participants have the opportunity to purchase an exclusive AQHA-logoed denim jacket.
  • Hours can easily be logged through AQHA's online member portal, faxing in log sheets or emailing them to hbrprogram@aqha.org.
  •  All participants must maintain an individual AQHA or AQHYA membership to retain previous hours ridden.

AQHA membership offers you a variety of ways to get involved with the various programs and events AQHA has to offer. Whether you thrive in the show ring or are looking for a trail buddy, AQHA membership offers something for everyone.
