General Guidelines and Payout

  1. The Zimeta™ 3-year-old western pleasure stakes class entry fee is $400, with $300 returned to the purse, plus $5,000 added. The stakes class will be held as an L2 and L3 exhibitor class RUN CONCURRENTLY, if 20 or fewer total horses are checked in and show.  The stakes class will be split into L2 and L3 entries if more than 20 horses are checked in and show. In both cases, L2 and L3 placings will be separate.

  2. The Zimeta™ 3-year-old western pleasure stakes added money is split equally between L2 and L3 exhibitors. Entry fees paid will accrue directly to the purses of the L2 or L3 exhibitors. To be considered WPC eligible, Zimeta 3-year-old western pleasure stakes class entry and exhibition is mandatory.

  3. The target purse for the composite placings of WPC is to be determined, based upon industry fundraising efforts.

  4. L2- and L3-exhibitors must declare the level at which they will compete to determine payouts. Exhibitors may not ride for both monies.

  5. Since AQHA already offers payback in the 2-year-old L2 and L3, junior L2 and L3, and senior L2 and L3 western pleasure classes, there will be no additional money added to those purses.

  6. There are no additional entry fees required in these classes specific to the WPC. However, to be considered for the WPC you must declare your nominated horses in the 2-year-old L2 or L3, junior L2 or L3, or senior L2 or L3 western pleasure classes, specific to the WPC, no later than noon (Central time) on Sunday, November 15, in the AQHA Show Office. No WPC entries will be taken after noon (Central time) on Sunday, November 15.

  7. The payout scale for the Zimeta 3-year-old western pleasure stakes is as follows:
